Late 2011 MacBook Pro Revived

I dropped my MacBook Pro and it made a big dent on the case and caused some of the keys to not work. I also ordered other parts like hard drive, memory and battery to make some upgrades.

This is the first time I did a repair on a laptop and it was quite exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. Because of the step-by-step procedure available along with the video, it made this repair experience easier. When I was doing the repair, I will play the video, pause it and follow the instructions and do it over and over until it is done. Now, my old MacBook Pro late 2011 is working like new.

The biggest challenge I encountered was attaching the cable ribbon from the upper case going to the board. Because of my fat fingers, I was not able to get it in easily. What I did was to stick a piece of masking tape on the ribbon to help me push the ribbon to the slot while guiding it using the spudger.
