A proper screen replacement will be able to fix your issue. Most shops won’t warranty the repair as it had water damage previously. There is no way to “clean” the water out of the screen, only a replacement will work.

Hello Donald! Unfortunately, after any electronic device is submerged in water the motherboard will have shorts and corrosion to the board. In many cases, the cost of repairing a water damaged device outweighs the cost of a new one.

I would try a different screen. All 3rd party apple screens can cause the device to do erratic things such as this one. I’ve come across this issue a few times when replacing screens and it seems to always fix the issue.

As long as the button you received can actuate a click of the home button you should be good to go. If not, try to find another seller with a higher quality part.

Unfortunately, 5 to 10 seconds of time spent in water is more than enough time to fry the motherboard. This may be a long shot but I would try removing the cmos battery and letting the laptop sit for ~30 seconds, then put it back in. If that doesn’t work, try re-seating ram sticks one by one to see if one is at fault.

Seems like a battery issue. The battery performance has decreased, due to its age, so much it cant even boot the phone. A good battery for a iPhone 4 is roughly $15-$30 As for the screen getting darker. That can be a multitude of things. The most common thing i have found to cause that is either the battery or a bad screen.

Looks like your LCD is starting to go. This can occur from bending or dropping the phone. I would recommend a LCD Screen replacement.
