Hi there! My name is Anjana and I am a second year Applied Mathematics major at UC Davis. I have always excelled in math due to my ability to solve problems creatively, my attention to detail and my ability to memorize and apply rules/formulas. Although I am not particularly good at repairing or building things, sometimes I am able to do so because of my ability to identify problems and find an effective solution. One example of this is that I have upcycled many articles of clothing. I have repaired makeup products before (eyeshadow, lipstick). I have also fixed a broken fan before, although my solution was far from ideal (The frame was blocking the blades from rotating, so I used a hair band to tie the frame to a clothes hanger, lifting the frame and allowing the blades room to rotate). I am hoping to pursue a career in data science or something similar.

Outside of STEM, my hobbies and interests include reading, going to the gym, playing tennis, thrifting, and anything creative.
