Bump! For me I have replaced tons of smartphone screens and this lg g2 screen I placed in the phone worked perfectly but every few hours the customer uses it the screen becomes like this completely white static image. I took apart the phone, cleaned all the connectors with isopropyl alcohol, seated everything properly and still after a few hours of usage the problem re-emerges. Any thoughts?
더 읽어보기I temporarily fixed mine by button bashing the power button until the phone rebooted. I felt pretty stupid doing so but after about 20 seconds of really fast clicking on it quite hard it worked. I already tried replacing the battery twice since boot loops are often caused by power issues but without result. Anyone know a solid fix? Is it the button on the logic board that has to be resoldered?

Bought a big roll of Kapton tape off ebay and ever since I use it to tape off everything that looks like coltan or metal on my ipad mini's and airs, no more problems at all! Kapton tape is basically insulating-heat resistant tape and for some reason its the only one fixing this problem. Other causes of ghost touch can be that the corners are bent, putting a stress on the screen or that you damaged the digitizer flex, although in my experience 95% of the time the Kapton tape does the job!
더 읽어보기I had the same problem. After changing the metal sheet with the home button connection cable on it several times to no avail I swapped the home-button for a button laying around in the shop, possibly the original one and it worked. Anyone know if the same goes for iphone 5s where you swap home button? Got a customer with working touch ID but defective button but don't want to have to put the original back in every time she updates. If there is no workaround for this problem in the future this is a serious threat for people with a shop. Simply rip a home-button and you will end up paying for someones iphone 6 :-/
더 읽어보기Yes I tested the screens b4 and they should be fine. Can I temporarily fix it like the audio-IC chip by putting some pressure on the chip And put the protection sheet back on? Do you know where the chip is located in a 4S?
더 읽어보기Hey guys, I just got an iPhone 4S with a completely irresponsive digitizer in. I replaced the screen with no result. Tested multiple screens with a testing cable and without the testing cable without any result. If I look at the screen connectors on the logic board I see no damage to the connectors with a loupe (8x) nor did the screen start to work after cleaning with isopropyl alcohol. Any thoughts what could be the problem. Tried a software restore and reset already.
더 읽어보기I had a similar problem with one phone. Tested 3 different screens, all with the same result. When putting the original screen in or testing the screens in different phones all worked fine. I have been doing some iPad mini repairs lately and often as not if you have a ghost touch there, it is because you did not transfer all of the black tapes from the original screen to the new one. Parts of the screen will then make a connection with the aluminum frame and cause home buttons pressing themselves, ghost touch and loads of other problems. On the iPhone 5 there should be a tape over the place where the backlight/lightbox cable is soldered to the connectors. You can see this in the green circle on the picture. If the tape is absent it looks like the on win the red circle. My hypothesis is that because the aluminum frames get bent a bit when falling, the absence of this tape does not always cause problems but sometimes does. I will let you guys know if I encounter the problem again in a phone and if its fixed...

더 읽어보기Have a look at this thread: iPad Mini Home Button Not Working After Digitizer Replacement the answer was given by GtechRepair: "The easiest solution Is to go back to the old screen at the bottom where the Home button is located, There you will see two pieces of fabric tape, The one closest to the home button will be layered over a clear piece of tape, try to remove them together, use x acto knife to lift up corner, then a good pair of tweezers to peel it off. Perform the same procedure To the fabric tape to the left, Then place both pieces down on your new digitizer, In the same place that they were in on the original. This should solve your problem 100%." these black tapes go here:
