Device Doesn't Turn On
The device does not turn on and does not make any noise when power button is switched on and off.
Device is not plugged in
Before turning on your device, make sure it is plugged in. The Black and Decker High Performance Blower has a power cord that needs to be plugged in to work.
Power cord is broken or misplaced
If the power cord is damaged in any way, the device may not turn on. Replace the power cord.
Power Button is broken
If the power button is stuck or nothing happens when you switch it on, replace the power button.
Switch is broken
It is possible for the switch to break or accidentally disconnect from the power button. If this happens, disassemble the device and either reconnect or replace the switch.
Powerhead Assembly is Damaged
The powerhead assembly is the orange portion of the device, containing the fan and motor. Replace powerhead assembly if it is damaged.
Motor is Broken
Disassemble the device to check if the motor is broken. If it is, then replace the motor. Also, if sparks occur when using the device, the motor has most likely been damaged or broken.
Device is Not Blowing
The device turns on but there is no air coming out of the blower tube.
Something is stuck in the fan
If the device has no air coming out of it or you hear a rattling noise within it, open up the cover/clamshell of the device and check if something is stuck in the fan. If the fan is stuck, clean and unclog it.
Fan is broken
Disassemble the device and check if the fan is broken or damaged. If it is then replace it with the fan.
Device Does Not Vacuum
The device turns on but there is no suction.
Fan is broken
Disassemble the device and check the fan for any visible damage. If there is damage, replace the fan.
Device has Minimal Suction
The device has little suction or the device sounds like it is struggling.
Something is stuck in fan
Open up the housing/cover of the device and check if something is stuck in the fan. If the fan is stuck, clean and unclog it.
Fan is broken
Disassemble the device and check the fan for any visible damage. If there is damage, replace the fan.
Clamshell is broken
The clamshell (black plastic casing) is broken or missing.
Clamshell is damaged
If the clamshell is damaged or missing, replace the clamshell. This is important because a damaged clamshell can reveal the inner parts of the device such as the fan and motor. This creates a hazard for the user.

My unit cuts off intermittently, especially in vacuum mode.
