Battery Does Not Charge or Hold Power

Your laptop has limited battery power or irregular behavior.

Faulty Battery

Due to chemical aging, older batteries are prone to carry less charge, resulting in shorter battery life. This is also the case for overused or damaged batteries. Purchase a replacement battery and replace it using this guide.

Broken DC Jack

As a result of dust and debris blocking the contacts, corrosion breaking the port, or the port loosening and disconnecting, the charging port may be faulty. A faulty charging port will not recharge the battery. Replace the charging port using this guide.
