Does the phone indicate that it is charging when plugged into the PC or a charger is connected?
Has the phone been dropped or gotten wet at all?
Check if the liquid damage indicator has changed colour indicating water ingress (you never know) and also that the USB charge port is OK i.e. not blocked with lint etc, is loose or has damaged or missing pins. If there is debris in the port enclosure preventing a good electrical connection do ''not'' use a pin or probe to remove it as you may damage the pins. Try using a vacuum cleaner instead to suck it out.

If everything appears to be OK then the phone would need to be opened and tested to find out what's wrong.
