How does one replace the hard drive?
My Gateway MD2614u will not power on and I was informed that it may be a hard drive issue. Can anyone supply a tutorial or walk through on how to replace the hard drive?

Siri, on the bottom of your Gateway laptop, you'll find the hard drive door to access the hard drive. Here you should be able to either pull the hard drive out with the caddy. It may be using some screws that hold it in place. Once you remove the HDD cover you will see how it is fastened. It is actually a pretty straight forward task, and should be very similar to this one. Hope this helps, good luck.
