If the high beam and the low beam is out on one side, it is very possibly a blown fuse. On this car there is a separate fuse for each side. The fuses are located under the hood, in the large fuse box on the driver's side of the vehicle. The cover for the fuse box has a guide on the inside labeling the fuses. The headlight fuses are large, square shaped 40A fuses. The left side is labeled LIght 1. The top of the fuse is clear so that you can see the metal band to indicate if it is blown. If the fuse is blown, it may only be a symptom as well. Check the bulb(s), and any visible wiring near the headlight for torn or exposed wires. If all seems OK, replace the fuse, but be aware it may blow again immediately, indicating deeper issues that need to be checked by a professional.

If the fuse is OK, then it is possible (although unlikely) that both bulbs are bad. You can swap the bulbs from the other side to check, being careful not to touch the glass with your fingers as oil on your fingers can cause a bulb to blow once heated in use.

If it is not a fuse or a bulb, professional diagnosis may be required.
