Hi,
If auto screen rotation is on, try turning the phone 90 degrees to the left, so that it is in the landscape position. If the affected area remains the same (i.e. now it should be on the right half of the screen, not the bottom of the screen), your digitizer (touchscreen) is faulty and needs to be replaced.
