Xperia Z1 screen crack

Hi, I am gaurav I have xperia z1 I got small crack on top left hand side of the screen. It only makes difference that I am not able to swipe down from top and not able to access WiFi,Bluetooth and many more options which I can manage. So I am eager to know what if I will not repair it. will it create any issues like display stop, more area of touch stop working in future or any other. I am asking because crack is not looking
