Try to format the cache partition first:
You should begin by turning off the device using the Power key.
Then, hold down Volume Up + Power button for a few seconds.
Release held keys as soon as you see the Android Robot.
To enter the Recovery Mode hold down the Power key for a short while.
You should see the Recovery Mode menu.
Use the volume up/down to move up and down the menu. Power button selects
Choose 'wipe cache partition'
Select yes on the next screen
After a wipe, choose 'Reboot system now'.
