How to remove/replace the mode dial

I want to replace a damaged and scrateched mode dail of my D90 - I thought it can be simple lifted upwards - but before applying rough force its better to ask....

Does anyone has succesfully replaced the button?

Michael Gauglitz there is a small screw on the bottom. you do have to pretty much tear into your camera to get to it. These guides Nikon D90 and this partial disassembly Nikon-D90-partial-disassembly.pdf should help you to get there
