Suddenly eight buttons stopped working in laptop Dell. How can i fix it, please?

The buttons are q-w-e-r-u-i-o-p. They work temporarily and Intermittently then stop. many thanks.

The Dell E6500 service manual is here.

Open up the laptop and check that the cable for the keyboard is firmly attached.

If it still acts up try replacing the keyboard altogether.
