Kindle fire touch screen not working
My Kindle Fire HD 8 touch screen does not work. I did a hard reset butbthe screen does not let me do anything.

I have the same issue. 6 months after purchase, the touch screen started behaving erratically. Typing is near impossible. No reason for it to do so whatsoever.
I suspect Amazon just decided to release a shoddy an defective product, I'm appalled at how quickly it deteriorated.

My tablet is so shoddy. I use it only for music and gives me nothing but trouble. Now the keyboard won't let me type. Piece of junk.

I have the same problem as Susan and have restarted and rebooted multiple times, but my touch screen still will not work.
i have 3 kindle fires and it all has the same problem after 1 year of usage. the touch screen stops working after 1 year even after you do a hard reset. called amazon and they offer you a new fire tablet for purchase at a discounted rate. i think this is amazon's kind of hack so that customers will purchase a new one everytime the fire tablet starts to malfunction. because it seems they do not have a solution to the problem unless you purchase a new tablet.
After one month of a Amazon fire tab the screen completely blacked out. you can hold the power button and hear the tablet come on and you can hold the power button and the tablet go off but the screen is completely disabled. This product is very badly manufactured. Do not buy!

Owe'd my kindle fire less than a year and it is very difficult to press pause when listening to one of my . Doesn't respond to my touching the button. So frustrating

I have this problem as well but question is as suspected but how do you fix it its almost like they do it on purpose is there a simple fix after I have done a factory reset it still does. It even though there is no cease for it.
