No Sound due to driver issue
I no longer get sound as it stating I have no audio output device installed. I’ve performed several refreshes of the complete system without any success The bios has been flashed and still no joy. Any ideas.

Hi,
Have you checked if there is a listing for "other devices" in Device Manager to see if the sound controller is there?
Have you selected Device Manager > View > show hidden devices, to see if it is listed there?
If it is listed in either place right click on the entry and select Update driver and follow the prompts and then check if it is shown in the Sound, video and game controllers list in Device Manager.
How did you prove that it is a driver issue and not an audio hardware issue, did you try the HP hardware diagnostics option in BIOS see user manual p.44?
