Repairing a mounting ring
Can repairing a mounting ring on a Nikon D600 be a diy project?

ccbrown12 check on here Nikon D600 Teardown I cannot see any reason why this could not be done by a DIY’er. Now the issue is, why you want to change it. A lot of times the ring gets damaged when the camera falls on the lens etc. Sadly enough, this will commonly “break the body part where the mounting ring screws to. That would be a different repair altogether since it would require to at least replace Front Body and in some case the Mirror Box and the reflex mirror.
