touch sensor not functioning

It appears as though the digitizer (touchscreen) is faulty and needs to be replaced as it cannot be repaired

Here’s the ifixit Orbic Wonder Screen Replacement guide that will help you to change the touchscreen.

Searching online I can only find the complete screen assembly i.e. LCD screen and touchscreen from this supplier and not just the touchscreen only.

What is the model number of the phone in case it is not the one described by the supplier (model #RC555l), as you don’t want the wrong part?

If your phone’s model number is different, search for Orbic Wonder (insert model number) digitizer to find suppliers that suit you.
