Boxer robot broken usb port
The micro usb port on boxer that is used for charging has broken off. Anyone know exactly which type of port I'd need to buy to replace and which parts need to be soldered? @laurenroide ?

The tricky part is getting the exact USB connector replacement which will mount correctly and securely onto the motherboard. The connector’s pin out is always the same but the board’s USB mounting lug solder pad positions can vary to suit the particular micro USB that is being used now.
Here’s a link to just one supplier of micro USB connectors.
Scroll through and see if you can find one where the position of the mounting lugs on the body of the micro USB connector match the position on the connector in your device.
Here’s a link to the Ifixit Spin Master Boxer guides that should help you to gain access to the connector.
You will need smd soldering tools and skills to effect the repair.
If doing this yourself seems too daunting contact a reputable, professional electronics repair service and ask for a quote. Hopefully they may even have a compatible connector in stock.

Has anybody figured out the correct USB connector? Anybody actually (successfully) replaced it?

I’ve got this same issue now too. The port in boxer came out when my 6 year old was trying to charge it and not paying attention to what he was doing. ??♀️ could someone plz help ???
