How do I replace the blue battery clip?

When you open the latch to access the battery, on the bottom of the camera, there is a small blue clip that keeps the battery pushed into the body. This piece has broken off. My questions:

1) Can I buy this piece anywhere?

2) How do I go about replacing the piece, assuming I can buy it myself?

I would rather repair this myself, instead of having to send it off to Sony and spend the same amount of money that I paid for the camera. Thanks, all!

I would think that you probably can, but you need the part number if you are trying to get it through Sony. Of course there is always ebay and craigslist where you could buy a broken camera and harvest it for parts. As for repairing it, you can download the service manual (partslist included) Level 2 and here is level 3. It will also give you the opportunity to identify the part. Good Luck
