Whenever i open my laptop it goes into boot mode and when I exit it it shows write protected and hardisk not attached but I have a hard disk in it .It is showing the above picture when I go into bios.

Hi,

When in BIOS, look through the BIOS menus and check that it shows that it has detected the HDD.

If there isnโ€™t a HDD listed in BIOS you need to check if the HDD is connected OK. Can you hear the HDD spin up when the laptop is first started?

Hereโ€™s the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop. Go to p.46 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the HDD. This will allow you to check if it is connected OK and also if you can hear or โ€œfeelโ€ it spinning.

If the BIOS does show the HDD then perhaps the HDD boot information is missing or corrupted. Hereโ€™s a link that may help with this.
