Hi,
If the phone works with the charger connected but not when on the battery only, then the first thing to do is to replace the battery and check if this resolves the problem. Even rechargeable batteries have a lifespan.

Replacement batteries are available from Ifixit. (Note that shipping restrictions apply).
Alternatively search online for EB-BN950ABE to find suppliers that suit you.
