MacBook only charges when fully drained
I know this is old but we are having the same problem. I just wanted anyone else to know that this is not only a damage issue. We haven’t done anything to ours. It will only charge when completely dead. 2015 Macbook Air.

Liquid damage issues can appear have similar symptoms as yours. Likely different cause!
