The power button won't turn my phone off...it won't display options to power off or restart, etc.... and it won;t allow me to access the screen. Everything else works.
Do you have any idea if my phone is recoverable? The battery is non removable.

Check if the power button may be corroded or if it needs replacing.
Here's a video that shows how to access the power button flex cable that may help. The parts supplier is an example only to show the part and its possible cost. If the button is faulty, search online for Galaxy A50 power button flex cable to get results for suppliers that suit you best.
If doing this yourself seems too daunting, contact a reputable, professional mobile phone repair service and ask for a quote to repair the phone.
