Laptop not turning on

The laptop is not turning on. I performed hard reset and did not work. I disconnected the battery and powered the motherboard directly. The board switches on for a second and turns off immediately. What is the possibility of repair the laptop?

Whilst the laptop is unplugged from the power, have you taken the battery out of the unit, then flipped it over and held down the power button for about 5-7 seconds? Nothing should happen, of course, but it helps to clear out any stray currents in the circuits.

After doing this, put the battery back in… now try it out either with or without the power adapter… if it works, cool. If not you would be looking at a possible steep cost as the warranty would have expired by now…
