Disc is not spinning

The discs in my PS2 Slim do not spin. I have already changed the laser. Without the case, the DVD spins and is also read. So when I press the buttons, the PS2 thinks the drive is closed. I think that the spindle is somehow too low after the move, because the DVD is very difficult to rotate manually with a complete case. Is there any way to raise the spindle?
