I recently dropped my phone and of course, the screen glass broke, but the phone operated completely fine otherwise. After a few minutes of using it, I noticed black clumps on the left side, which I assume are dead pixels, and slightly transparent yellow marks around the cracks. I'm afraid that these 2 things could spread, so other than obviously getting the phone fixed, is there any solution to at least stop them from spreading?

@sethadrienrocks yes, they will "spread". What you have here is a broken screen. The only way to repair it is but replacing it. Use something like this video as your guide.
While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do.
