My camera screen is black

@sarahserr you are not telling us if your camera is still taking pictures. Can you see those pictures on the computer etc. after you download them. If you can, it is possible that this is a bad LCD display. If you can't take picture etc it is possible that this is a bad CCD image sensor. Both of those issues are fixable. The first one requires a new LCD display and the second one required a new image sensor.

I have not found a single video or guide for your camera. That means we need you to be our pathfinder. All teh EasyShare M series cameras are in principle the same. So use those guides and follow the steps in the same sequence, just be aware that the screws, ribbon cables etc. might be in different places etc. If you get stuck at something, post some good pictures of that with your question. That way we can see what you see and we can try and guide you as much as we remotely can. You Got this!

While you work on your camera, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do.
