What shall i do my hp desktop computers mother board failed to start while i'm connecting to a power source but while i press the power on button it shows up a blink of light on it and afew seconds later it gets off?

Likely an overloaded Power supply. The cause can be anything. You need to remove parts till the LEDs stay on. It might be your CPU. Since that is harder to remove, do it last. If that isn't it, then another component on the MB is bad. MB replacement is in order.
