I have no sound on video or speaker phone.

Hi, I have no sound on videos and when I am on speaker phone no one can hear me.I know this has to do with the noise cancelling mic on top. I have tried the needle in the small mic at the top trick, but that does not work. I have seen this all over the internet. Has anyone come up with a real answer for this??
