Keyboard swap tutorial anyone?

Do not try to charge or use the laptop and disconnect the battery from the motherboard as soon as possible to minimize the problems caused by liquids coming into contact with powered electronics.

After you have disconnected it, carefully check the motherboard for any liquid damage or even corrosion. If there is any, gently clean it way using Isopropyl Alcohol 99%+ available from electronics parts stores.

Go to p.29 to view the procedure to remove the battery.

The keyboard is part of the upper case assembly and you will have to nearly completely disassemble the laptop to access it. See p.43.

Here's the parts list for the model that will help you find the correct replacement part. Click on Select Commodity → C-cover with keyboard (128) to find the part number for your model.

As can be seen there are 128 different keyboards available. They are language specific as denoted by the country code seen in the description for each assembly e.g. USA = United States, TUR = Turkey, THAI = Thailand etc. Also some have backlighting (RGB) wheres others don't. Usually the part number can be found on the underside of the assembly if you wish to verify that you're getting the correct one.

Search online for the part number only pertaining to your particular laptop variant, to find suppliers that suit you best.
