Why is my phone overheating

@uzomaonyekachi you are not giving us a lot wot work with here. It would be nice to know when it overheats. All the time or when it is charging only and does it still work. Also, is it saying it is overheating and shuts down or does it actually feel hot.

Try to start your phone in safe mode and see if it still overheats. It if does not then it is possibly a third party software issue. Use this to get into Safe Mode

If it continues to get hot, you may have to start by replacing the battery. It is possible that the battery is failing and heating up. Since iFixit does not yet have a guide for that, use something like this video It was written in Spanish, use a browser that can translate the site for you.

Any of this may change as you provide us with more information about your phone overheating.

While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit.
