i need to manage this processor to work and get enough money to get a new pc but my laptop is not helping at all... it keeps on hanging and giving error page... please is it possible and can i get the price range??

@mayorcodes you are not telling us what processor your computer has at this time. I'd suggest you download the ThinkPad Hardware Maintenance Manual The CPU for your ThinkPad is socketed and can be replaced. Page 53 of the Hardware Maintenance Manual tells you which processors are compatible. Page 89 will tell you how to change the processor.

@mayorcodes we need more information about things like "and giving error page..." this. It could be a processor issue but it could also be an OS issue. Are you using Windows? Which version? What have you checked? What have you tried.

My laptop is Lenovo ThinkPad R61. Yes a windows laptop.
The error message is that blue popup that says some unexpected things happened and they'll restart for me and stuffs like that
