Hello,
I have recently got a ThinkPad E570 from auction, so I am unaware of its history. It does function and is usable. However, its exterior casing does separate when opening or closing the lid. Here is a video of the issue occuring:
I am unable to find any guides of replacing the screen or hinges at the moment for the E570. If anyone have ideas that would help fix the issue, I would appreciate it.

Either the lid hinge bracket screwed into the base enclosure is loose or worse the base enclosure hinge mount is broken
Here's the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop.
Go to p.95 to view the procedure to remove the LCD hinges. Doing this will allow you to to see what the problem is.
If there is a faulty part that needs replacing, here's the parts list that will help. Click on Select Commodity and scroll down and click on the wanted part category to find the part number for the part. Search online for the part number only, to find suppliers that suit you best.
