How to fix a not working headset jack

@yukiharahasi start your phone in safe mode. When the phone is turned on, long press the volume down key to enter the safe mode. After entering the safe mode, the word "safe mode" will appear in the lower left corner of the phone screen. now try your headphones. If they are not working, then the issue is a third party software that is "using " access to your headphone jack. You will have to uninstall any third party software that is related to your Audio.

If it still does not work then the issue could be your jack. Try to clean it out with a few puffs of compressed air. Sometimes a drop or two of some high grade isopropyl alcohol (96% or better) and then inserting the headset and removing it a few time in rapid succession may free the internal switch mechanism of the jack. It may be stuck.

If none of this works you may need to consider replacing the jack. It is soldered to the main board. Since iFixit doesn't yet have a guide for this specific task, use the guide from here It is written in Spanish so use a browser that does the translating for you, if needed.

Replacement jacks are readily available online but do require soldering.
