I've been experiencing an issue with my USB-C ports on my laptop, I tried plugging my phone and earphones without success. The ports used to work perfectly fine, but now they no longer function. Interestingly, my USB Type-A ports are still operational.
I'm currently running Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS.
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Hi @vvaccount8728
Check if there's power being supplied by the USB-C ports by plugging in a mobile phone which uses USB-C to see if it starts to charge.
If there's no power being supplied, then other non self powered devices e.g. external USB-C HDDs etc won't work.
What OS is installed in the laptop?

The idea was to see if the phone was showing if it was charging (it didn't have to be recognized and connected) when plugged into the port.
This is just to see if it is a USB power supply problem or a USB controller problem (driver or package?) if it doesn't/does start to charge
Don't know Pop and not much about Linux in general but check if the OS is recognizing all of the USB ports:
Here's a link that may help.
