Does it also do this if you run the washer with no load in it?

Don't know Samsung washers that well but try running the diagnostics (select Run diagnostics on a top load washer) and check if any error codes are shown, especially error code 3C (washing motor defect).

If there are any error codes being displayed, here's the service manual that may help. Go to p.28→p.30 (p.30→p.32 of 37 pdf) of the manual, to find the meaning of the code. On p.31→p.34 (p.33→p.37 pdf) of the manual, you'll find information what to check for each error code.

If you find the problem and it is a faulty part that needs replacing, here's the parts list that is useful. Locate the wanted part in the list and note the manufacturer's part number that is shown with it. Search online for the part number only, to find suppliers that suit you best.
