@jimwhinery you are not telling us which capacitor. The Clarke Floor Sander 56382881 (2016) use a Start and a Run capacitor. Part number for the start capacitor is #40694A and it is a 450-540µF 165VAC capacitor. The Run capacitor is part number #53191A and it is a 60µF +/- 6% 240VAC capacitor.
