You don't need software to perform a hard reset.

Here's an article that describes how to hard reset the phone.

Be aware that if there's a Google account associated with the phone then you will need to know the account user name and password so that you can access the phone again to set it up after the hard reset has been completed. This is because the FRP lock (factory reset protection) has been enabled by the reset.

If you don't know or can't remember the account details, search online for FRP bypass for your model phone.
