Power board components schematic
Hi, I'm in need of help identifying the part located at BB804 on my tvs power board( cold section near led driver. Power board model PW. 108W2. 683.
. Please help! Thanx

Did you mean DB801, the component a bit out of sight, up and to the right of BB804 in your image, as the connections seem a bit rough?
Looking at a blown up image of the board (see below) the component type for a DB801 is MBRB1050CT. At least I think it is but my eyes aren't as good as they used to be, so you'd better double check

Apologies if it is BB804 you mean. Have you removed the diode to see if there's any model type markings on the underside of the diode case?
If you don't get an exact answer it may be quicker and easier to just get a replacement board. Some seem to be very cheap. You may have to verify that they're the exact same full board number as shown on the sticker on the board though

Heya bud, Thanx for the reply. BB804 is the spot I'm referring to. Down to the right of the schottky . The little guy that Google says is a diode but then other times says its a ferrite bead. I'm teaching myself w this tv. So a new board is last resort
If you disconnect one leg of BB04 from the board and measure the component using an Ohmmeter i.e. component is isolated from the board and a meter lead is connected to each side of the component, if it's a diode, it should measure low resistance when measuring it in one direction and high resistance if you swap the meter leads over and measure it the other way
If it's a ferrite bead it should test low resistance when measured in both directions.
The above is if the component is OK and not faulty i.e. OL or infinite Ohms on the Ohmmeter
En route to the house now, so I'll bust out the multimeter then and check. So via your initial answer, do you think the component seated at bb804 is a diode? There's no markings and identical ones I've have on other boards r seated at FB ( ferrite beads) locales. They lack markings as well
The TV powers on then flashes and shuts off right away. The initial problem was 2 capacitors were bad. I replaced them and the TV worked fine for a few weeks then it would take a few tries to powers it on. That lasted a few days, and afterwards the screen flash and automatic shut off started.
Given that the designation is "B" most probably it is a ferrite bead
Component DB801 is a diode and it is marked with a "D"
All you can do is test it although using a DMM is not conclusive for testing ferrite beads unless it is open circuit.
If it is short circuit i.e. 0.00 Ohms this is problematic as they could normally test very low DC resistance, it's more their impedance i.e. AC resistance that they have that is what is required in a particular part of a circuit.
