I bought this camera off Vinted. It came without an SD card. I seen several sellers selling the same model on eBay showing the SD card they use with it so I bought the same SD card sandisk 8gb sd card for universal cameras. I popped the card in the came and keeps coming up card error !
Can any help, what can I do to get the error message off and be able to use the camera? Thanks

Did you mean a Casio exilim ex-Z25, as I can't find any info re a Casio exilim ex-X25?
If itis a Z25 then there's a small amount of internal, non removable memory in the camera i.e. ~40MB, so you should be able to take at least 1 picture to prove that the camera is working at least.
Have you checked that the 8GB SD card is working i.e. able to be detected, when you insert it into another device e.g. card reader connected to a computer, just in case the card is faulty?

Hi Jay,
Yes it is the ex- z25 ( apols).
The sd card is brand new. Prior to trying this card I tried a Kodak sdhc class 10 32gb brand new card and this gave the same error message. The camera does work for the internal memory. I am wondering if there is a problem with using a sd card with it or do I need to format the card before putting it in the camera. Wishing I had not bought the camera currently :(

Trying 2 different SD cards and neither work when inserted (they both can't be faulty) indicates that there's a problem with the SD card port or the SD card controller in the camera.
Can't find a service manual or even a teardown video online that would allow you to check if the SD card port was OK or not.
Was the camera advertised as working OK? If so take it back and ask for a refund
Advertised as very good used condition. So disappointed.
