Canon Lens Will Not Retract

For context, my friend gave me this ixus 95 (Sd1200) camera to keep, and it said to replace the battery so i charged it up, and it worked fine. When i tried to use the autofocus function, since it was still blurry, it wouldn't work, so i kept trying and eventually the camera effectively crashed, leaving the lens extended, now every time i power it on, it does a couple clicking noises then hands me a lens error. I was looking at the lens and the gap between the lens itself and the casing it a little uneven. I want to know if there is anyway to fix it. (for added context, my friend had it in their room for a while and its been a while since they tried turning it on.

@propanepropane sadly enough this is a common error with any digital camera that utilizes a telescopic lens. Look through the suggestion on here Fix#4 might work for you.

if it can't be corrected you will have to repair/replace the lens. For that use this guide Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS 렌즈 어셈블리 교체
