Bottom loading water dispenser pump issue

I bought a brand new Hitachi bottom dispensing water cooler,

It has a sensor that indicates when the water jug is empty.

I have an issue that recently occurred which is that when then the water jug is empty, it seems to take in air along with the last drops of water and keeps the pump sucking air instead of turning off as it's supposed to.

It has happened two times and I have no clue how to troubleshoot it nor have I found any resources.

Update:

I removed all hoses, the bare pump still pumped dry so it has nothing to do with the hose system. I also completely emptied it of any water even from the drain pipe

The pump itself works fine

I also checked the floats and they seem to be in good order

If anyone has any idea on what it possibly is please tell me.

This is only the 4th cycle or jug and the first two were fine.
