The LG G8 ThinQ Android smartphone was manufactured by LG Electronics as part of the G series beginning in April 2019. The LG G8 ThinQ is the successor to the LG G7 ThinQ (2018). The phone was released in grey, black, blue, and red bodies.

The G8 ThinQ features a glass front and back with an aluminum frame. It is also dust-resistant and water-resistant to a depth of 1.5 meters in freshwater for up to 30 minutes. The G8 ThinQ and the G7 are both MIL-STD-810G compliant, meaning that they comply with standard military environmental worthiness and overall durability. Depending on the market, the G8 has either dual or triple main cameras with a primary lens, telephoto lens, and wide-angle lens (the telephoto lens is absent in phones with dual main cameras).

The G8 ThinQ includes 128 GB of internal storage and 6 GB of RAM while its predecessor, the G7 ThinQ includes 64 GB of internal storage and 4 GB of RAM. The G8 ThinQ also has a 3500 mAh non-removable battery, a 500 mAh increase over the G7. A non-removable battery is one whose adhesive is permanent, making repair and replacement difficult. The phone also has a removable Micro-SD card that can be upgraded to up to 2 terabytes of storage. The G8 ThinQ features Face ID, Hand ID (which reads your hand’s unique hand and vein patterns), a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and barometer sensors. It also includes AirMotion gesture control that allows users to utilize gestures to access functions and answer calls.
