Background
Introduced in 2004, the Panasonic PV-GS9 is a compact mini DV camcorder. It is the entry level model in Panasonic’s line of mini DV camcorders. It has a 2.5” diagonal LCD viewing screen for easy operation. It is similar to the more expensive models in the lineup, the PV-GS12 and the PV-GS15. The PV-GS9 has 20x optical zoom as well as 800x digital zoom with easy to use controls for these features.
