Background
The ThinkPad Edge 13 E31 is one of a few sub-models of the ThinkPad Edge 13. The main difference between the sub-models is minor and depends on certain specifications.
The Edge 13 E31 can be personalized from the factory with 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, or DDR3 RAM. They came with the option of a 2.5" SATA hard disk drive of 160GB, 320GB, or 500GB, or a 128GB solid state drive. These laptops were marketed for commercial business use, so there are endless options for hardware from the factory, or they can easily be upgraded at home.
Identification
The ThinkPad Edge 13 E31 has a black housing with a charcoal gray screen bezel. It is distinguished from other ThinkPad models by the silver trim around the outer edges of the laptop. The Lenovo logo is printed on the lower-left corner of the screen bezel. The ThinkPad logo is printed on the lower-right corner of the palm rest, with Edge printed directly below it.
You can identify your device by the model number 0221-A13 printed on a label on the bottom of the laptop.
