I repeated the procedure and this time it’s working! Yeah! I checked two things that might have made a difference - 1) that the four copper contacts on the battery connector were touching the four contacts on the part beneath it; and 2) that transparent plastic pull tab from on top of the battery had folded over the wrong way when I closed it the first time, possibly stopping a connection from occurring, so I flipped it back the other way to ensure that it was resting on top of the battery when I closed it this time. On a side note, the new battery is a lot better and the phone is a little faster, but still slow compared to a new phone.
I replaced the battery but the phone is rebooting continuously. I tried resetting it per the instructions several times but this has not helped. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
