I have not seen this answer on here yet! I have a 1999 Nissan Quest also. All of the sudden my van wont start….it tries to chug chug chug but no vrooom. I checked all of the fuses and relays …I replaced the crank sensor. I replaced the cam sensor. And because the cam sensor is built into the distributer I replaced that also. Then I replaced the fuel filter. I checked all of the wires…This was not in the Haynes repair manual…but I found the little owners manual that came with the van. The 1999 Nissan Quest has an INERTIA FUEL SHUT OFF SWITCH. I HAD NO IDEA. APPARENTLY IT IS A SAFETY FEATURE. IF YOU GET INTO AN ACCIDENT, OR EVEN HIT A CURB OR POT HOLE THIS INERTIA SWITCH AUTOMATICALLY SHUTS OFF YOUR FUEL FLOW! ALL YOU HAVE TO DO TO RESET IT IS TURN YOUR KEY OFF PUSH DOWN ON THE RED BUTTON LOCATED LEFT OF YOUR EMERGENCY BRAKE THEN TURN THE KEY BACK ON FOR A FEW SECONDS, TURN IT OFF AGAIN.
