My 4s got submerged in water and I replaced the battery. Afterwards, when I attempted to turn it on. The apple showed up on the screen but no more. I took the battery out and charged it in another phone and then put the charged battery into the phone again. Once again when I tried to turn it on, the apple appeared and no more.

This phone has so many pictures of my children and important messages on it that I would like to retrieve. Any suggestions on what I should do to get this phone working again?
