When the power button is pressed, the camera does not respond.

If the camera will not turn on, the battery may not be properly connected to the camera. If so, remove the battery from the camera and re-insert, ensuring that the red clip snaps into place. Refer to the Battery Replacement Guide.

If the battery is properly connected to the camera but the camera will still not power on, the battery may not be charged. In which case, remove the battery and connect to the charger.

If the camera's battery is properly charged and connected yet it still fails to turn on, then the motherboard may be broken. Please refer to the Motherboard Replacement Guide.

When the buttons are pressed, the camera does not respond, or the buttons are slow to return to normal position.

If the buttons are not working you may need to clean the buttons. To do this, use a cloth and a fine tipped cleaning tool to clean the edges of the buttons. If this technique does not work, disassembly of the camera's exterior may be required to clean underneath the buttons.

If the buttons do not respond, some of the connections within the camera may be faulty. This may require a more extensive repair. Refer to theMotherboard Replacement Guide.

When pictures are taken, they are not sharp and clear.

The reason for the blurry pictures may be because the autofocus is turned off. Press the ‘MF’ button on the back of the camera to exit manual focus mode.

If the camera's shutter speed is too slow, adjust the shutter speed to a faster setting. This may help if the entire image is blurred.

If the lens is dirty, use a lens cleaning wipe or a microfiber cloth to wipe the lens of the camera clean. Ensure there are no foreign substances on the lens.

If cleaning the lens does not improve image quality, it is likely that the lens is scratched, which can be visibly seen. Therefore, the lens needs to be replaced. Refer to the Lens Replacement Guide.

The camera will not stay on for a sufficient amount of time after it is turned on.

Make sure that the camera battery is fully charged before detaching it from the charger. To verify, place the battery back on the charger and check the indicator light for a full charge.

If the charger shows that the battery is fully charged, but it does not keep the camera running for more than 2 hours, it is likely that the battery is old and needs to be replaced.

If the charger is properly connected to a power source and there is no indication that it is charging the battery, or batteries do not charge, it is likely that the charger is broken. Replace the charger.

When you are trying to take a picture, the camera does not let you capture a picture.

In order to turn the camera on, press the ON/OFF button on the top of the camera. If the camera still does not turn on, refer to the “Camera does not turn on” section above.

If the memory card is missing, the camera will beep six times after the shutter release button is pressed and “No memory card” will be displayed on the screen. Insert a memory card into the memory card slot of the camera. Refer to the battery replacement guidefor instructions.
